What a great name to give to a youth Bible!
What a great name to give to a youth Bible!

Having come back from Brazil I believe we were blessed to do just that. Would it seem at all strange to you to ask God to point you in the right direction today to make a difference in someone else's world, to impact their day with the love of Jesus?

I would love to see the following true in my life on all occasions: 1) I would like to be known as a servant. Jesus said this, "For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves" (Luke 12:27). 2) I would like to spark in a person's heart a deeper desire to know and follow Jesus. "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden" (Matthew 5:14). 3) I would like to let others know that God created them to be forgiven and to live in eternal fellowship with him. "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent" (John 17:3).

The most powerful life change that the human spirit can know is to know Christ in all his fullness. This begins when we come to trust in Christ as our personal Savior. When Jesus is allowed to live his life in and through us, change is on the way!

Christ in us allows us to put others first and in this way we can humble ourselves and carry out the first desire I listed above, to be known as a servant. Secondly, only Jesus exemplified perfect love, but when I consistently love and follow Jesus as my first priority, it's a call for others to put him first as well. Thirdly, Christ in me gives me a boldness and a loving concern for the eternal destiny of others which will implore me to share the gospel. The apostle Paul would say I was sent to be a faithful ambassador of this message to a lost world. "We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God" (2 Corinthians 5:20).

When I am walking obediently and stay completely reconciled in my walk with God I experience close fellowship with Jesus, he is able to make a powerful difference in me and others near me.

May it be so Lord!
