There are a variety of forces at work in our world. Sometimes we witness the volatility of a changing stock market. Sometimes the up and down emotions of a teenager reek havoc on our tranquil home life. Change and uncertainty can rob us of God's peace. Some have said nothing enters in our purview without the challenge filtering first through the fingers of God.
A passage from the Gospel of John has long been one of my favorites is in John 10. Look at the following verses 27My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30I and the Father are one.”
No adversity or contrary voices should be able to drown out the counsel of our Savior. So when the storm clouds gather ask Jesus to provide his direction and biblical promises he wants you to hold to. Remember no one has the power to "snatch" you out of the hand of your Savior. No one is greater than our heavenly Father who stands with Jesus to support and hold you upright no matter how powerful the current storm.

We have set a lofty goal to read through the Bible in a year. How about this to encourage you from John 10:27: 27My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. Today's readings were Exodus 16, Job 34, Luke 19 and 2 Corinthians 4. If you are looking for a different reading plan, you might enjoy trying:

What reason do Matthew, Mark and Luke give for the disciples not being able to keep watch in prayer for Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane before his arrest?
See ya Sunday,
