Could a morning devotion be a breath of fresh air?
Could a morning devotion be a breath of fresh air?

In this Sunday's message we are looking at a passage that calls every Christian to never dismiss the divine power of scripture to speak powerful to us exactly when we need God's voice. 2 Timothy 3:16: 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. If you regularly start your day with time in God's Word, he can infuse you or breathe into a difficult situation with directions and/or corrections...which are vital as verse 17 says.... to equip you for the work that God has for you in this new day. But the biggest outcome of consistent instruction from the word of God is that it shapes us toward living righteous and God pleasing lives. Did you sense God speaking through his word to you this morning? If you missed time in the scriptures, make sure you take time to plug in later today. God has "breathed" his divine life into the Bible to speak to you, to encourage you and to refine you into the image of his Son (see Romans 8:29). We have set a lofty goal to read through the Bible in a year.  How about this to encourage you from 2 Timothy 3:16: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.  Today's readings were  Exodus 24, Job 42, John 3 and 2 Corinthians 12. If you are looking for a different reading plan, you might enjoy:

What was the name of the criminal that Pilate released from prison, and probably execution, instead of Jesus? What do you think he felt years later? Do you think he came to faith in Jesus?

In Jesus joy,
