People are constantly looking for something to make life work and to see the void in their hearts and minds filled with something fulfilling. It’s the new year, so you know it’s time to get in shape all over again. Start a new exercise regimen or a new diet. Or, or… forget all that and just check out completely and get wasted! (you know I don’t mean that). Isn’t that what some do just to escape life and responsibility? Getting high or getting drunk are ways that some seek to numb what is missing. Another option is becoming a workaholic. I know I am simplifying, but these actions are weak attempts to seek an answer. A question asked when people pause to be a little philosophical… Why am I here? What purpose am I supposed to fulfill? A good place to start is to delve in our beginnings and our God crafted origin.
Jesus said I have come that you might have life and might have it to full.
The full verse is: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10
This is creator Jesus speaking. He knows us because he made us.
