Maybe a cup of "joe" to start? But what keeps your mind and heart at peace, come what may? We will discuss the logos of God on Sunday, so for a few moments let me pass on a few insights from my preparations.
Logos, which is translated most often as "the word," or "a body of truth or communication." His Word is a living anchor and Jesus, as a person, is still today an eternal life giving Spirit (I Corinthians 15:45). He is the only one that has the power to be "an ever present help in times of trouble" (Psalm 46:1). Why? Because he is God, he is omnipotent and omnipresent to hold us in the midst of every challenge.
So when you start out on your day, don't just start with a cup of coffee, but also feed your soul on the Word of God. It is still carrying out a divine purpose and power. God's word is provided in his book the Bible. It is meant to be a spiritual word of counsel and truth that will nourish you because it comes from the heart of God, who loves you. Remember Jesus words about himself, "...I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty" (John 6:35). This day and everyday let's make sure we are getting "our daily bread" uniquely prepared to provide and prepare us to walk out into the world. And remember God knows how to provide exactly what we need because he stands outside of time, he is eternal. He is already present in the day ahead, and already knows exactly how to provide for our needs.

Not so much a trivia question this week, but an application question. Do you have a strategy for training and equipping your mind to operate in a way that honors God?
