We could not have asked for better weather for our third annual Harvest Festival. Great turnout for the grilled hot dogs (thanks Paul), apple cider, caramel apples, great side dishes and calorie free deserts (ha, ha). We had a couple guys walk off the street to eat with us as well. They stayed and enjoyed some rich fellowship with the great people God has gathered at Calvary.
We will not be outside lighting any fires this Sunday, but we trust the power of the Holy Spirit will light some internal fires as we gather. Sunday School is at 9:15 and worship service at 10:30. Then sermon title is, "No Shame in my Game" from 2 Timothy 2. In this chapter Paul shares that he suffers for the gospel "bound with chains as a criminal" but he is happy to endure all of it for sake of the gospel. How wonderful is this gospel we share; it is worthy of any cost if others find Christ in the process.
