Devotion time at Community Picnic 8/9/25
Devotion time at Community Picnic 8/9/25

We certainly picked a warm day to have a picnic. Close to 40 people came out and persevered in the warmth and humidity. Paul Eggena and Stephen Riley were our heroes for weathering the heat from the sun and the grill. Great food was brought and shared as well with a number of visitors. We had two "Corn Hole" or "Toss Across" tournaments. Landon Boker and Jerry Beasley were our two champions. We will see if they can defend their title next year?

Getting together in different settings allows us to learn more about one another and draw closer. This idea will be mirrored more and more in coming weeks as we will offer more "connection points" among ourselves and those outside the church. We are beginning small groups soon as a way to be more intimately aware of the spiritual gifting within the body. People exercising their spiritual gifts more often within the body life of a church only empowers its members.

I will be sharing these verses often in the coming weeks. Hebrews 10:24,25: 24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

My message on Sunday is entitled: "Keep the Fire Burning." In this we will learn of Paul's efforts to keep Timothy excelling in ministry as Paul continued to disciple him even from prison. Keep reading in 2 Timothy 2 to prepare.

Hi Gloria. God's love is so powerful that it is able to reach the most troubled and lost person. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9. And then also consider John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Sorry I missed your question until now. Merry Christmas.
