An event like this allows us to enjoy each other in a relaxed and informal setting, and it's a great way for people to get to know us. Grab a flyer this Sunday at church to use in your recruiting.

After church last week we met briefly.

I announced an effort to bring more of us together during the week by establishing some small groups that deepen our connections with one another, that encourage and deepen our faith and help to lay a discipleship foundation. We will be discussing the value of these groups over the next few weeks and our desire is to see them start in September. Listen to these words in Hebrews 10

24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. God has divinely arraigned the body of Christ to inter-connect and to be a powerful catalyst for spiritual growth. Are you growing closer to others in our body and are you expecting God to use them in your life?
